PLAY-BASED LEARNING

Grounded in nature. Inspired by creativity.

Our holistic approach to early childhood development blends art, language, and nature to empower every child to bloom. Through artistic, magical enrichment experiences, we foster a place where every child feels safe, seen, heard, and loved.

Our enrichment sessions are grouped into three age-based club houses, each of which are 2.5-hour sessions, offered in the morning and afternoon. Enrollment is kept intimate, ensuring every child has time to shine, discover themselves, and find their community in our play-based curriculum.

OUR EXPERIENCES

LET’S MAKE MAGICAL MOMENTS

Miss B is grounded in nature. We plant the seed for children to foster both their individuality and connectedness to community and planet. Among the many ways nature guides our philosophy, we offer the following:

→ An edible interactive garden
→ Nature walks on the beach
→ Cooking classes
→ Yoga and mindfulness practices

NATURE IMMERSION

We cultivate artistic expression through experiences that inspire natural wonder, curiosity, and original thought. Rather than place children in set groups, we allow them to show us what inspires them. Possible paths include:

→ Pottery studio
→ Watercolor classes
→ Music and dance
→ Carpentry

ART CLASSES

We strive to make every child feel seen, heard, safe, and loved. This begins with our Nursery Scopes, which we create using astrology to better understand the innate needs and desires of the whole child.

Our Scopes act as a springboard to every child’s enrichment, which continues with a heart-led approach to our close-knit clubs.

NURSURY SCOPES

As a proud member of the Santa Barbara community, Miss B offers thoughtful programming to form lasting bonds with local organizations in our wonderfully unique community. We plan local field trips that help spark natural curiosity, like beach and farm visits. We also offer special events at the club that support and advocate for children’s and families’ needs.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITY

LANGUAGE & LITERATURE

Language is how we connect, express, and explore the world around us. Through storytelling, song, and playful immersion experiences available in French, Spanish, and Mandarin, children can build confidence and curiosity—whether they’re discovering a new word or deepening a second language.

OUR PARENT PARTNERSHIP

Learning and support in perfect harmony.

While we foster love, creativity, and connection with your children, there’s extra support for you as family members, too. An important part of the club is our nurturer-family dynamic, where we work together to create a tailor-made fit for you at Miss B. This starts by designing a session plan that aligns with your schedule. From there, our support continues with specialist sessions you can book as add-ons such as:

→ 1:1 Nurturer support
→ Sleep training
→ Potty training

→ Behavioral support
→ Nutrition and health
→ Recipe inspiration

By seeing children as whole beings eager to express their individuality, we are reimagining the standards of early childhood curriculum.

MEET MISS B

With devotion to early childhood curriculum and genuine empathy at her core, Sara Brennan, also known as Miss B has dedicated her life to building a new kind of learning environment for children and families.

Working as a teacher and nanny before founding her own nursery school in London, Miss B felt called to bring her diverse background to Santa Barbara. She envisions the club to be an example of what is possible in early childhood education: a place to believe wholeheartedly in the inner magic of ourselves, and of our passion and purpose in this world.
